It improved my quality of life – It made my ps5/ps4 games load much faster when I transferred them to this drive. It was also super simple to install. If you are installing into a ps5 you don’t have to use that much force to get the cover off. If you are, you are doing it wrong.

Not a razor – So my husband’s birthday is 5 days after our wedding anniversary after Thanksgiving but before Christmas. I was so excited when I thought to buy expansion for my husband’s PS5. He graciously deletes video games just for our son to install his own games. My husband loves gaming. I found this item checked with my brother in law who gave me all clear that this was a compatible product. I could barely contain my excitement and couldn’t wait till Christmas to give it to him. I bought it immediately when I saw a price drop. I watched the YouTube video for easy install. When my husband opened the package he was taken aback saying I thought you got me a razor or clippers. I said what seriously why would I get excited about a razor or clippers. It was easy to install. I let him help cause I am not breaking his PS5. So if you like gaming or have kids who like gaming or husband etc purchase this product. Easy to install super worth it excellent gift. Even though my husband who has a magnificent beard and loves having a clean shaven head, grooming is a daily thing and razors fancy or naw should just be a part of life. My husband said it was the best present ever. Challenge accepted! The hardest part of instillation for PS5 is fear of breaking the panel when you remove the side. Don’t forget to let your device lose all it’s electricity. We had just gotten home from Thanksgiving and the PS5 had been unplugged for 24 hours. Need the correct little screwdriver too in case you don’t own tools. If you don’t know much about terabytes which I do not I think the 1 terabyte holds about 10 games depending on games and apps.

absolutely bonkers – after having this SSD for a while, i can confirm that my impressions of it have not changed. holy moly is this one hell of a drive. i definitely got more storage than i needed to for my main drive, but the speeds are absolutely insane, i was already struggling running off of a HDD but my startup times instantly skyrocketed and everything worked so much better. installing it was pretty simple except it took me a long time because i suck at installing PC components haha. 11/10 would give more stars if i could.

If you plug it into a PCIE 3 NVME slot, it will instead just max out the spec of the PCIE 3 slot, which is around that 3000 MB/s. That’s not the drive’s fault, that’s yours for not paying better attention.

Installing the drive is very easy, and it is nice that the drive arrived with the heat sink already assembled to the drive unlike some of the other options out there. The hardest part of installing the drive is opening the console, I found Sony’s YouTube tutorial to be the most helpful guide there. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking to expand their console’s memory. Will update if I run into problems.
