10 reviews for ROCCAT Burst Pro PC Gaming Mouse, Optical

Great mouse, awful clicking sound – I have not run into any issues other reviewers are talking about after having this for almost a year (11 months). I will admit I bought my white Burst Pro used for $30 (and it was basically brand new) to replace a Roccat Kain 122 that developed scroll wheel issues after less than a year so I was hesitant in getting it. The side buttons are nice, the material of the mouse feels nice, the stock cable and skates are completely fine for general use and gaming (anyone that complains about either of those things is being hyper-nitpicky for no real reason), and the weight feels good. The 1 drawback that I knew of going into getting this mouse is the sound of the clicks. It’s awful. It’s no exaggeration–it’s really bad. It sucks that it sounds as bad as it does but fortunately it doesn’t affect the functionality of the mouse, the clicks otherwise are perfectly fine. The scroll wheel has thankfully lasted and doesn’t seem to be losing any functionality on top of feeling solid. I use a hybrid fingertip/palm grip as I have long fingers for anyone that’s curious.

– First of all, I wanted a nice mice to play my favorite game on my Mac (Final Fantasy Online), because I had a hard time with the MagicMouse. Unfortunately, the app is totally incompatible with MacOS. That was not too much of a problem because the mice works anyway without it, but you can’t personalize it. Compared to other gaming mices I owned, this one felt very cheap for the price. Extremely lightweight, plastic seems thin and fragile, the mice in itself is kind of big in my hand, and makes the overall experience a bit uncomfortable. Also, it’s not super smooth. I had 30-40$ mices from Best Buy a lot more nicer than this one. I played with it for 2 days and decided I had enough and returned it. It is not total garbage, I just think it’s not worth it and suggest you to go with another company or model.

My new main! Top tier shape, weight, features and materials. Inconsisten M1 and M2 – UPDATE 4/26/2021: So this is a bit of a saga. I got so frustrated with M1 and M2 buttons and their weird feel, I returned my open box Burst Pro. About a week later I was at Microcenter and they had a Burst Pro on display. I picked it up on a whim and clicked the buttons. I noticed that the right click on the display mouse was light and crisp, almost like a Razer Viper, but slightly more hollow. The left click felt like I originally described; stiff, hollow, and dull.
