– I bought this due to going through 3 Xbox elite controllers both versions and didn’t feel like giving Microsoft the satisfaction of scamming me out of more money, the build quality on this controller has taken me by surprise, not that I believe PowerA to be lower quality but it just feels great, it has a great weight and the fact you can change the faceplate on the fly is a great addition, the general feel of the controller feels of better build quality than that of the Xbox Elite controller V2, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to program the paddles due to being on the elite controller for so long, but once I’d figure it out it was nice and easy, granted this controller is wired, but it comes with a decent length cable for you to play with, the box it came in was very stylish and even came with its own carry case, I’d highly recommend this controller to anyone who is on a budget or looking for a cheaper alternative to the Xbox elite controllers, for the price I’ve paid for this I couldn’t be happier

Best Bang for your Buck Controller that will help you improve. – I’d like to share my journey on how I have decided that this controller will be my go to moving forward. It’s in the perfect spot of being affordable ( It’s usually 90.00 but I got mine on sale for 70.00) while still giving you enough quality to compete with a SCUF for less than half the price.

Takes some getting used to and messing with config to get it right – I’ll start by saying I use this controller to play Call of Duty (all versions, multiplayer and warzone) and so obviously your experience may vary widely from my own depending on the game you play, but these are my first impressions so far. I will update as I go along and try new things with it:

– Really disappointed. Had the first version and loved it so ordered this one thinking it would be an improvement. The build quality is worse, the materials are awful and everything breaks extremely quickly. The first I ordered of these bas a badly squeaky left stick so I asked for an exchange. Within three months, the sticks don’t respond properly, the headphone hack doesn’t work, the right trigger won’t press all the way down and the rear paddles don’t click or press properly. I’ve had £20 controllers that lasted far longer than this did. It’s clearly made cheaper, and is basically their cheaper wired controller with a couple arbitrary upgrades to make it feel premium, not least of which is just adding weight to it. As I had to exchange the first one which was defective in delivery, I cannot get a refund or exchange for the replacement despite it being nowhere near fit for purpose. The only reason I give this 2 stars instead of 2 is that it would probably be fairly nice to use if it was actually useable and built well enough to not break, but there’s no way it’s worth £80 odd. Very disappointing, worse than the first version, would not consider buying again.

– I have the first version of this controller and as I love the older version I much prefer the new one with the usbc port and slight better grips, it’s very much the same as it’s predecessor with slight improvement which I like very much. My only gripe with these controller is, if you use the bumper triggers as much as I do in my games, they will eventually snap off and that bleep bleeps my off so much, this is an issue with the Xbox one design in general it happens them all, you could say it’s just me but many others report similar faults with Xbox pads. So here’s hoping PowerA listen to this keep this fantastic design forget about mc connectivity and strengthen the rear bumper buttons and they will smash it out the ball park. Overall great controller my review was based off older PowerA controllers which did fail eventually but this newer model has 3 months on it with no problems to report. Recommend, and it’s so comfortable to use for long sessions which is why I love the design. Good job PowerA ✅
