Rated 5 out of 5

Perfection!! – I expected the laptop screen to be bad as I have heard all the reviews and when I had my hands on it my only problem was the brightness of the screen. Unoptimized, it can cause a bit of screen tearing while gaming but in high-performance mode it is a champion. I can stream and game on Apex Legends just fine as well in all high-performance settings. No overheating whatsoever and not a single problem with the battery.

Definitely Recommend – Using the laptop to type the review, it is a decent laptop, it is a good budget Windows laptop, would recommend it for college students or any business professional.

Good processor but confuse specs to be a budget gaming computer – The lot of thinks the HP did to make this computer price under 1000 dollars, can be a problem for the future of the brand Victus, they install 2 x 4Gb ram memory to save some pennies, some versions have 144hz display but a more ship video board, other 60hz with a better configuration, so hard to choose from the options.

Moderate laptop with okay battery life, and some caveats – I wouldn’t say this laptop is worth a full price of $1000, but for a discount it might be good for you. I got this laptop for going off to college (engineering, hence the GPU) and its performance is pretty great for the price. (Got it for $750) It also doesn’t have a bunch of crazy accents and colors which I really appreciate on a laptop. Comes installed with a bit of “bloatware” like the HP Omen center which I did find to be pretty useful. One thing to note is that the display on this is 60Hz. If you’re looking for a 120-144Hz display you’ll be disappointed with this one. It also doesn’t have the best colors and vibrance on the screen which isn’t really an issue but might bother some. Battery life is passable (hard to give an exact number, but I was able to watch YouTube video at 480p for 4h30m with rather low brightness and power saver enabled. Can probably extrapolate from there. Something better would be ideal but you should look for a Ryzen model if you want actual good battery life. One thing advertises is that the laptop can charge from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes, and this is indeed true which impressed me. Overall despite my nagging, it’s a good-looking laptop with good specs for a sale price and passable battery life.

Best bang for your buck! – Before I got this I did some very extensive research on what laptop I should buy, I was thinking about buying a couple other laptops but thought well why not, if I’m spending so much money I might as well get a gaming laptop. This laptop’s specs are great! Don’t worry about the 8gb RAM you can easily upgrade that yourself for quite cheap and the RTX 3050 It comes with will play just about any game out there! I’ve played R6S, Skyrim, Arma 3, and GTA V RP with no problem at all! A couple of my friends have gaming laptops and they payed over 1K for theirs while I only paid in the 600 range and my laptop outperforms theirs. It’s a great deal!

Awesome laptop; shoddy display – This laptop gets 5 stars from me because the value outweighs the shoddy display. You can play pretty much any AAA title at 60 FPS medium/high, and 60FPS is all you will need with the built in display. At medium settings connected to my external display I usually average around 170 fps in most titles, medium settings. Would highly recommend this computer to someone who wants a good budget computer without all the frills. I use it mostly as my international travel gaming laptop, which is a perfect use case as it is cheap, reliable, and very snappy.

Great for CAD! – I bought this to be my new daily laptop that is capable of handling the CAD work I do. I upgraded the RAM to 32 no issues at all however the 8GB it comes with is plenty for most people. Time will tell the longevity!
