What do I even have to say – There A40s bro, if you have the money, do your self the favor and get them, however if you’re on PC you need to order a spliter along with the mix amp, if you do not your friends/teammates won’t be able to hear you, but you can hear them and game volume. I just ordered a regular aux cord and plugged it into my mix amp and the in on my PC now it works perfectly fine, and I can switch from PC to my PS5 in just one little click. Love it,

Great deal despite damaged USB A – This is my third refurbished Astro headset, A50 Gen 1>A50 Gen 2>A40 2019. The A50s were great aside from occasional desync-ing and low battery life. These are otherwise my goto headset for years. I could never justify the $250-300 price new but Astro’s refurbished headsets are nearly brand new for around half the original price. The A40 provides a superior soundstage to the A50 and doesn’t need to be charged, the cables are long enough that having a wired headset isn’t too much of an issue . The Mixamp TR steals the show and gives granular control over the 5 EQ presets. It would imo be worth it just for the Mixamp itself through which you can download or tweak up to 5 custom EQs from Astro Command Center.

Headphones and accessories in perfect condition. Seller saved me a lot of money. – I bought the Astro A40 + Mixamp Pro package. This was advertised as “like new” but without original box. I received the the headphones in a well packaged box. Everything was in sealed plastic bags and neatly wrapped. All items were present including documentation. Headphones, wires, and mixamp were free of any defects. This looked like someone took everything out of the original box and repackaged it. I took a chance as the description said there may be minor imperfections but I did an thorough inspection and found everything to be in new condition.

Some very good features, and some not so good features – Firstly, the positive, the ability to tune the sound to filter out (i.e., reduce the magnitude of) the explosions while maintaining the ability to hear footsteps most of the time is an outstanding feature for first-person shooter video games. That part worked pretty well for me. The software allows you to choose 5 center frequencies around which you want to filter. If you need more than 5 then this is not the headset for you; however, 5 has been satisfactory for me. I have to remove the unit from my PS4 and move it to my PC when I need to make an adjustment but since the software allows you to save up to 4 custom settings to the MixAmp you only have to do that when you first start using a new game and go through the trial and error process of fine-tuning the unit specifically for that game.
